SARASA ENSEMBLE
with Dominique Labelle, soprano and Michael Chance, countertenor

Music of Handel, Purcell, and Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater
Founded in 1997 by Boston ’cellist Timothy Merton, the Sarasa Ensemble draws on a pool of more than sixty world-class musicians from the United States, Canada, and Europe, receiving critical acclaim for their performances of music from the early Baroque through Romantic eras. They make their BEMF début with soprano Dominique Labelle and countertenor Michael Chance for an unforgettable evening of arias and duets from Handel’s Rodelinda, Purcell’s Orpheus Britannicus, and Pergolesi’s glorious Stabat Mater.
