Parking
Parking in Boston can be difficult. There is metered parking on most streets, however, be aware of signage, as spots can become resident-sticker only, valet only, or tow zones at various points during the day.

Subway Fares
$2 per subway ride with paper Charlie Ticket or cash-on-board
(no free transfers)
$1.70 per subway ride with plastic Charlie Card
(includes free transfer to local bus)
$0.60 per subway ride for seniors and persons with disabilities
(blind persons ride for free)
Bus Fares
Bus fares are $1.50 with paper Charlie Ticket or cash-on-board, $1.25 for Charlie Card, and $0.40 for seniors and persons with disabilities (blind persons ride free); both Charlie Card and Ticket include free transfer to local bus .
Discounted Visitor Passes available; $9 per day or $15 for 7 days for unlimited subway and local bus travel; can be purchased at in-station fare vending machines or local retail sales terminals.
