Songes & Mençonges: Medieval visions and dreams of prophecy, love, and folly
Now in their 65th year, The Boston Camerata ranks among the world’s most illustrious Early Music ensembles. Camerata members were among BEMF’s founders, and they performed at the inaugural 1981 Festival, making them the longest continuously active guest ensemble in the Festival’s history. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of Anne Azéma’s tenure as Artistic Director, the Camerata continues to tour regularly across the globe in productions renowned for their exuberant spontaneity and impeccable musicianship. Join them for a beautiful selection of Medieval songs exploring themes of sleep and dreams, including works by the visionary composer Hildegard von Bingen.

“A many-colored tapestry…exuberant and ecstatic.”
