Mozart’s Idomeneo

Tremont Temple Baptist Church, Boston, MA

Mozart’s greatest opera seria was composed for the Munich Opera in 1781. At the time, Munich had one of the finest orchestras in all of Europe. Idomeneo’s remarkable orchestral scoring and important choral parts make this opera the perfect vehicle for our Festival forces. An international cast comes together to perform what is said to be Mozart’s favorite opera.

Roger Norrington, Conductor
