The Boston Early Music Festival, world-renowned for its groundbreaking productions of Baroque opera performances and celebrated concerts, and Longy School of Music of Bard College, dedicated to preparing musicians to make a difference in the world, are partnering to present the inaugural season of the BEMF Longy Baroque Academy.
This four-day course for singers and continuo players (harpsichordists, lutenists, harpists, etc.) is an extraordinary opportunity to work with some of the world’s most celebrated Baroque specialists. Days will be filled with specialized lectures, movement training, participatory workshops, continuo classes, and more.
- Interested musicians age 18 and over are encouraged to apply;
- Must have full availability (no schedule conflicts) for June 15–18, 2023;
- Singers should be comfortable moving and singing on stage;
- Early music experience not required.

Participation Fee: $500*
Housing, meals, and travel are not included; participants are expected to secure these arrangements.
*Scholarship Support is available, based on need.
