Directions
Public Transportation – Green Line to Arlington or Copley
Take any Green Line train to either the Arlington or Copley Square stations. Walk down Berkeley Street towards the Charles River. First Lutheran Church is between Commonwealth Avenue and Marlborough Street.
Driving from the North
Take I-93 / US-1 South to Storrow Drive exit. Follow signs to Storrow Drive West (note: AVOID lanes marked Kendall, Fenway, or Cambridge).
Exit left at Back Bay/Copley Square. Turn left at the lights onto Beacon Street, then a quick right onto Arlington Street. At the first light, turn right onto Commonwealth Ave. After one block, turn right at the light onto Berkeley Street. The church is the modern brick building with curved roof approximately 100 feet ahead on the right hand side of the street, just past the Alley.
Driving from the South
Take I-93 / US-1 North into the downtown tunnel. Take exit 26 toward Storrow Drive. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Follow signs to Storrow Drive West (note: AVOID lanes marked Kendall, Fenway, or Cambridge).
Follow signs to exit left for Back Bay/Copley Square, then proceed into the center lane toward the "T" intersection.
From the center lane at the "T" intersection, turn left into the far right lane of Beacon Street, then a quick right onto Arlington Street. At the first light, turn right onto Commonwealth Avenue.
After one block, turn right at the light onto Berkeley Street. The church is the modern brick building with curved roof approximately 100 feet ahead on the right hand side of the street, just past the Alley.
Driving from the West
Take I-90 East (Mass Pike) to Exit 22 for Copley Square onto Stuart Street. After three blocks, turn left onto Berkeley Street.
Continue on Berkeley Street for approximately four blocks. Move to the right lane. Proceed through the light at Commonwealth Avenue. The church is the modern brick building with curved roof on the right hand side of the street, just past the alley.
PARKING
There are several parking lots and garages within a block of the church, including the Boston Common Garage.
