INVEST in BEMF with a NAMED GIFT
Since 1981, the Boston Early Music Festival has consistently brought the brightest stars in the world of Early Music to Boston, and our 2016–2017 Season is no exception! BEMF’s 27th annual series of concerts is full of exciting discoveries and well-loved masterpieces from many of your favorite artists and ensembles including The Tallis Scholars, Jordi Savall with Hespèrion XXI, Kristian Bezuidenhout, Stile Antico, Vox Luminis, and others. Our popular Thanksgiving weekend tradition of presenting magnificent chamber opera flourishes in a new production featuring the opulent court of Versailles in all its glory, with music by Lully, Charpentier, and Lalande. Directly following two performances in Boston’s glorious Jordan Hall, our Chamber Opera Series tours to New York City for two additional performances of “Versailles.”
This season, like all previous seasons, is only achievable thanks to your generous financial support. You’ve heard this before, and it remains true today: income from ticket sales covers less than half of the costs of presenting these wonderful programs.
There are many meaningful ways to give to the Boston Early Music Festival. But when you support BEMF with a Named Gift, you invest directly in our music, with a gift that has special significance. Not only do Named Gifts help provide the crucial financial support required to present a full season of fourteen extraordinary performances in Boston and New York, but they are doubly meaningful in that they send a message of thanks to your most beloved artists, musicians, and directors—that their work means something to you.
Please review our 2016–2017 Season roster, and if there is an ensemble, soloist, orchestra member, or director to whom you would like to send this message of support, please consider making a Named Gift to BEMF this season. Named Gift Opportunities start at just $500; donors receive prominent acknowledgement in our concert program books, invitations to receptions, and special thanks from the artists you sponsor.
