Driving and parking in Boston can be very crowded and time-consuming, so public transportation is highly recommended.

Parking at Symphony Hall
Limited street parking is available on Massachusetts Avenue, Huntington Avenue, St. Botolph Street, St. Stephen Street, and Westland Avenue. There are two parking garages located within a short walk of Symphony Hall: the Westland Avenue Garage is located above the Whole Foods Supermarket on Westland Avenue, one block from Symphony Hall. The Gainsborough Street Garage is located next to New England Conservatory and Jordan Hall, approximately 2 blocks from Symphony Hall down Huntington Avenue. Each charges an evening event rate of $17 per car and take cash, Visa, and Mastercard (subject to change per the garages’ policies).

Directions:

By subway:
Green Line E Train: Exit at the Symphony stop. Walk west down Massachusetts Avenue; Symphony Hall is on the left.

Green Line B, C & D Trains: Exit at the Hynes Convention stop. Walk east down Massachusetts Avenue for approximately 4 blocks; Symphony Hall is on the right.

Orange Line: Exit at Massachusetts Avenue and exit at Mass. Ave. Walk west down Massachusetts Avenue approximately 2 blocks; Symphony Hall is on the left.

By bus:
Take the #1 Massachusetts Avenue bus directly to Symphony Hall.

Driving from the North
Take Route 93 South to Storrow Drive to the Fenway exit.

Driving from the South
Take Route 93 (the Southeast Expressway) to exit 18 for Massachusetts Ave. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto Massachusetts Avenue. Continue through approximately 6 traffic lights until you see Symphony Hall on your right (immediately following the intersection with Huntington Avenue).

To park in the Westland Avenue Garage, take a wide left onto Westland Avenue immediately after Symphony Hall; garage is on your right above Whole Foods Supermarket.

To park in the Gainsborough Street Garage, turn left onto St. Botolph Street at the light before Huntington Avenue, then turn left onto Gainsborough Street; garage is on your right.

Driving from the West
Take Route 90 East (the Mass. Pike) to the Prudential Center/Copley Square exit and exit towards the Prudential Center. Go straight at the stop sign to exit onto Stuart Street/Huntington Avenue.

To park in the Westland Avenue Garage, stay to the right and turn right onto Massachusetts Avenue. Turn right onto Mass. Ave.; Symphony Hall will be on your left. Take a wide left onto Westland Avenue immediately after Symphony Hall and park in the Westland Avenue Garage on your right above Whole Foods Supermarket.

To park at the Gainsborough Street Garage, stay to the left to go under Massachusetts Avenue, then take your first left onto Gainsborough Street; garage is one block on the right.
