The Recorder Sonatas of Georg Philipp Telemann | Regarded as one of the world’s finest recorder players, recorder virtuoso Erik Bosgraaf makes his eagerly awaited BEMF début alongside harpsichordist Francesco Corti in a program of Telemann’s complete recorder sonatas. Telemann was surely the most prolific of the great Baroque composers, with an oeuvre of more than 3,000 composition is great variety and invention. A recorder player himself, his chamber music for the instrument is especially brilliant with wit and virtuosity alternating with profound emotional depths.
