Mad Rush: Fever dreams of 17th-century Italy
A familiar presence in BEMF opera productions and recordings, tenor Zachary Wilder is much sought after on concert and operatic stages on both sides of the Atlantic. Alongside his frequent collaborator Josep Maria Martí Duran, he has crafted a dramatic and delicious program that celebrates the wonderful strangeness and melodrama of 17th-century Italy. Join these stellar artists for a program of intense musical and emotional density, intimacy, and variety for a study of the delicate, mercurial nature of sanity with masterworks by Monteverdi, Strozzi, Peri, Cavalli, and many others.
PLEASE NOTE: The start time for this concert has been moved to 11:15pm from the announced 11pm time due to the length of the preceding concert. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
