The BEMF Baroque Opera Project aims to unearth and present exceptional Baroque operas that illuminate the history of the art form while providing unprecedented entertainment. Together with the world’s leading operatic superstars and a wealth of instrumental talent, BEMF’s Baroque opera directors dedicate years to researching every aspect of these Baroque opera revivals, reproducing a stunning palette of sight and sound for world-class historic presentations.
In 2004, BEMF initiated a series of recordings to preserve its groundbreaking Baroque opera creations and attempt to fill the gaps in the current discography of Western opera. The first three CDs in the series earned Grammy nominations for Best Opera Recording. |
